We left Brazil on a local bus and headed to the borders of Brazil and Argentina where we had to get our exit stamps from Brazil. we then had to wait 45mins for the next bus to drive over the border where we had to get off the bus to get our entry stamps in to Argentina. The sun was shining and we met a few other British travellers making the trip across the borders. We had about a 20 min bus rid to the bus station where we had about a ten min walk to our hostel.
This hostel was no where near as nice as the one in Brazil but it was nice enough. We arrived to a group of 4 English guys and an Essex girl from Chelmsford. They were recovering from a hard few weeks partying in Buenos Aires and were recovering here. The Wimbledon tennis final was on, so we joined them with a beer and I sat on the hammock and we all watched the final by the pool in the sun shine. The best way I have watched Wimbledon yet! We ended up drinking all afternoon, had a home cooked meal and headed out to a Mexican bar for some more drinks, followed by a club! A fun day had by all, but it wasn't looking good for our early start the following day for our trip to the Argentinian side of the falls which we had been told we would need a full day for.
We awoke the next day slightly worse for where and headed over to the Argentinian Iguazu Falls. We thought the Brazil side was amazing, the Arg side was spectacular. We did need a whole day here as they were so huge, so we spent the day on the walks going out to all the falls. You could get up so close to the falling water. A fab experience. Again, you'll need to look at the pics on flickr to see how wonderful they were.
After a fab day here we headed back to the hostel, all the others had already left for there next destination and there had been several new arrivals, what a difference a day makes as we were the only English in the hostel. All the others were either from Brazil or Argentina including a family with two young kids! So, Brett & I went out for dinner and had a mellow night as we were leaving the next day to go to Buenos Aires. we luckily had got a cheap flight or it would have been another 24 hour bus ride.
We arrived at the airport the following morning which has a very small coffee shop and nothing else. So, we twiddled our thumbs whilst waiting for our flight to BA. Next stop Buenos Aires...
