The Queen Mary, Long Beach, LA

The Queen Mary is the British Ocean Liner built in the 1930's. It transported Royals, immigrants and troops on 1001 Atlantic crossings between 1936 and 1964. Its very much like the Titanic was but larger and more luxurious! We stayed in a lovely state room which still had many of the original fixtures and fittings from its sailing days.
Little known to me, this ship is haunted! It was featured on the UK tv show 'most haunted' and is under constant ghost watch....now it becomes clear why it was so cheap to stay on here, in fact I can't believe we had to pay them!!
We're on a haunted ship, there are tours of the ships in daylight hours, fun ghost tours or three hour night time tours with a medium to the most haunted parts of the ships closed to the general public...which one do we do...the last one of course!
It was amazing! We went 40 feet below sea level to the very bottom of the ship where prisoners of war were kept, the very haunted, no longer in use swimming pool and beyond. I won't go in to any more detail as there are lots of people that don't believe in all this. However, Brett and I loved every second of it and would do it again, it scared me so much but I enjoyed it being in absolute pitch black was very scary! For those that are interested, mail me and I'll tell you more.
Once the tour finished we expected the others on tour to head back to their rooms...oh no...NONE of them were staying aboard the ship just me and Brett! Luckily I slept pretty well that night but wouldn't recommend a tour and then staying on the same ship!
We had a fantastic 2 nights aboard the Queen Mary. We left LA and had a nice 6 hour drive to San Francisco.
