I've never dreaded a night as much as I did this one....saying Goodbye to Gypsy was hard enough let a lone all of my family and friends!! I spent an hour with Gypsy before we left for the party and yes you may think I'm mad and OTT but saying bye to my puppy who wouldn't know where we had gone was so hard! She knew something was up as she always does and sat there and enjoyed the extra fuss she was getting!
Within minutes of arriving at 'The Clarks' i had to leave the room over whelmed with emotion...this was going to be a hard night. Promising I wouldn't drink too much, my first glass of vino went down very quickly!
We had a lovely evening surrounded by our nearest and dearest including all the babies that will be toddlers on our return and all the bumps that will be little people on our return! I know we're away for less than a year but we'll miss so much...but on the other hand we'll see so much...
So, the night came and went..it was so nice to see everyone I love a night when every ones together....the 30th has finally arrived....Mum, Kelly, Rich, Brett and I are snuggled in to one car with Eve, Al & Toni in the other. We arrived at T5 with our flight still all confirmed and all looking good. The 8 of us had breakfast then the time came to say Goodbye...I left Mum & Kel till last as the sight of them standing there in tears was just too much and they would be the hardest to say Good bye to and boy was I right. I really could have stood there and not gone and hugged my Mum and sis forever. This was one of the things I was absolutely dreading and it was harder than I thought...leaving them In tears we approached security, the security guy told me I couldn't go through until I stopped crying...a real joker!
We waved Goodbye and we were through...our adventure begins...
T5 is a very smart, modern looking airport with lots of shops and restaurants and also lots of glass making it a large conservatory which was very very hot! Our flight all still OK so we headed off to Gate 'B' via the train. With a t least 50 flights cancelled we were lucky! Our flight still all on time we boarded, seat belts tighten ready to go...then the Captain announces we have the incorrect luggage on our plane it needs to be re sorted there will be a slight delay to cut a long story short 2 and a half long hours later we finally took off. Nine hours later we arrived in Miami.....WELCOME TO MIAMI.....
